Nepal

In May of this past year, Nepal felt the aftershock of Earthquake Gorhka. Approximately 9,000 were killed and 12,000 injured in April. However, the aftershock killing over 150 people and injuring 1,300 others made it difficult since Nepal was still recovering from Earthquake Gorhka. Knowing it is a challenge to recover from the damage, The 1000Cranesproject decided to start up this time to bring hope to the people of Nepal and show them that even when it seems like the world couldn't be more against them, there are people outside who deeply care about them and want them to know that they are not forgotten and that everything will be fine.

The 1000Cranesproject would like to thank Neill Nutaitis, Jason Tran and Lieu Duyen for helping make this happen. Without them, we would not have been able to send the Cranes to Nepal and see the smiling faces of the children who recieved them. Below is the letter that Jason recieved from the children of Nepal.
