Meeting the Philippine Ambassador

On January 8th, A couple of friends and I went to the Philippine Embassy in D.C and were able to give a thousand cranes to the Ambassador to take back to the Philippines. After the typhoon hit the Philippines, we started up the project again. The group’s wish is that the money raised from the cranes made will be sent to the Philippines to help cover costs and that each crane would be given to children who were affected by the typhoon. We hope that the children see the cranes as we do: a sign of hope, a sign that things will get better, a sign that people will always care even when it seems like they don’t. Last of all, we would like to thank you for giving us this opportunity to represent our cause and send our cranes to the Philippines.

The thousand cranes will be distributed by the Feed the Hunger Foundation. There will be an update on pictures after the cranes are distributed.
